Alejandro Tamayo
(b. 1973, Medellín, Colombia).
Alejandro is a Colombian/Canadian artist, writer, and arts administrator. His artistic
practice includes objects, sculpture, drawing, text as well as site-specific and
site-responsive installations.
Recent solo and group
exhibitions include Album at Centre3 in Hamilton, Division of Labour at the WA&HC (Workers Arts & Heritage Centre), Unscheduled Arrivals at Bunker2 Contemporary Art Container in Toronto, and The distance from the Sun at The Gales gallery from York University.
Alejandro lives in Windsor, Ontario, and is currently the executive director of the Arts Council Windsor & Region (ACWR).
